BierFest

Ah, Oktoberfest at the Beach!

BrewFest 2008 at the 24th Street Stage on Atlantic Avenue at Virginia Beach's oceanfront.

Does this look stupid or what? But there's no telling what this get up might attract...

This has got to be why they invented beer!

It wouldn't be a BierFest without a wienerdog contest. This costume looks to be the wurst.

And you gotta have some stupid dancing... I think this one is the 'Hokey Pokey'.

You have to ask yourself, "what if the hokey pokey IS what its all about!"

I got my hair cut earlier this week

Our little female chihuahua, Lupe, has badly clouded eyes. She is being treated by Dr. Manning at Bostic Veterinary Hospital. Her eyes are improving and she receives eye drops three times a day. She's real good about getting her drops and sometimes curiosity gets the better of the rest of the crew.

In December 1948, nine McCloskey ships were partially sunk to form a ferry breakwater off the coast of Kiptopeke Beach, Virginia.

After the construction of the Chesepeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel, the ferry was put out of business; however, the breakwater still protects the beach and provides a home for coastal fish and birds.

Statues (of Liberty) on Parade

I've finally settled back into the routine after that trip to Germany, and everyone knows that my routine includes YANKEES BASEBALL!

In celebration of the MLB All Star Game being played at Yankee Stadium in it's final year, 42 replicas of the Statue of Liberty, each painted to represent a MLB team or other MLB theme, have been located around New York City. Below are the ones I've been to.
